The release of the preparedness group of Centria UAS 26.2.2021

The preparedness group of Centria UAS held an additional meeting on Friday 26th January 2021.

The Finnish government has decided on 25.2.2021 on the immediate transition to tier 2 of Covid-19 prevention. The aim is to stop the spread of the new virus variants and the acceleration of the epidemic.

At Central Ostrobothnia Joint Municipal Authority for Social and Health Services (Soite) is at a base level for now. The Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital District (Ylivieska) is at an acceleration stage and the Vaasa Hospital District (Pietarsaari) is at a spreading stage.

The Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital District and the Vaasa Hospital District will immediately take into use the strictest restrictions, such as:

  • recommendation to remote working for all employees and remote studies for higher education to the widest possible extent
  • strong recommendation to use face masks
  • limitation and closing of public spaces

 Additional actions:

  • gatherings are restricted to 6 persons

The Central Ostrobothnia Joint Municipal Authority for Social and Health Services will decide within the next few days about the transition to the acceleration stage if the situation in the area requires that. This means that the strictest restrictions will be taken into action in the Central Ostrobothnia Joint Municipal Authority for Social and Health Services.

Talonpojankatu campus:

  • the campus is open (notice the opening hours of the winter break)
  • the library is open as usual (notice the opening hours of the winter break)
  • teaching in the laboratories will be organized but gathering restrictions must be followed
  • campus restaurant is closed in the week 9, open in the week 10
  • strong recommendation to remote working and to use of face masks

Vierimaantie campus:

  • the campus is closed for teaching, there is a duty on the campus, necessary work and teaching in the laboratories is allowed but gathering restrictions must be followed
  • the library is closed, the customer service is available remotely
  • campus restaurant sells takeaway food in the week 9, closed in the weeks 10-12
  • strong recommendation to remote working and to use of face masks
  • gatherings are restricted to 6 persons

 Campus Allegro:

  • Centria’s premises are closed
  • strong recommendation to remote working and to use face masks
  • gatherings are restricted to 6 persons
