The international interest in the degree programmes of Centria continues strong

The international applicants’ interest continues strong in the English-conducted degree programmes of Centria University of Applied Sciences. There were 1084 single applicants from 54 countries to eight bachelor’s degree programmes in the recently closed application period for international applicants. The number of applicants in the January application round was a little behind last year’s number (1286) but on the whole Centria’s degree programmes in 2021 got a record number of applicants – the programmes that started in January had 530 applicants in the application round last year, so in overall, the programmes attracted over 1600 applications. The application rounds were open for applicants who had completed their upper secondary level degree outside Finland.

In the January application round, most applicants had the English-conducted degree programme in nursing (282). The next most popular were degree programmes in business administration, International Business (245) and Business Management (194) and the degree programme in Information Technology (188). There were most applicants from Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan.

The results of the student selection will be published at the end of March. The students who come from outside the EU/EEA, are charged tuition fees.

Centria’s own application period for applicants with a Finnish certificate to English-conducted degree programmes is held simultaneously with the spring joint application round 17.–31.3. The Finnish-conducted programmes are available for applying in the spring joint application round.
