Aim to return to campuses in the autumn

Centria University of Applied Sciences aims to return to campuses for the autumn semester if the coronavirus situation and health security in the area allow it. Teaching and other operations on campus will be organized as safely as possible. The objective is that full-time students could return to campuses and classrooms at the beginning of the autumn semester in August.

The programme of the orientation week (week 34) for new students is designed on the assumption that we can return to campuses. The international students are provided with the opportunity to study in a hybrid model during, at least, the autumn semester.

For the continuing students, we are planning to organize an academic year starting day at the campus on week 35 or 36. The persons in charge of the degree programmes will prepare a programme for the day. Students will receive more information closer to the starting day.

We try to offer more opportunities to join teaching online for continuing students that wish to attend lectures online. The teaching is planned group-specifically.

Centria welcomes the exchange students if the authorities and prevailing pandemic situation allow it. In all operations, valid instructions and safety recommendations will be taken into consideration in August. We are prepared to arrange teaching remotely or in a hybrid model in case the pandemic situation requires it.
