Language and communication studies at Centria University of Applied Sciences

All of the degree programmes include compulsory language courses. In addition the student can choose optional language courses from Centria’s common elective language studies. The student is recommended to register in the spring for the elective language studies in the next academic year. The time for registration is announced separately. First-year students are also entitled to participate in the language courses offered. 

In the international degree programmes the language requirements are slightly different for Finnish and international students.  Everybody studies the same number of English language courses in the degree programme but in addition Finnish students are required to study also Finnish as a mother tongue and / or Swedish. International students are required to study Finnish 6-12 cr depending on the degree programme.
