Tuition fees and scholarships

Tuition fees are charged from Bachelor’s or Master’s level students studying in languages other than Finnish or Swedish. Tuition fees will be charged from citizens of a country outside the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland.

There are no tuition fees for those students who

  • have started their studies before 1st August 2017
  • are citizens of EU/EEA/Switzerland
  • have an EU Blue Card
  • have a continuous residence permit card in Finland, Type A permit
  • have a permanent residence permit card in Finland, Type P permit
  • have an EU residence permit for third-country citizens with long-term residence permit card in Finland (Type P-EU)
  • have an EU Family Member's Residence Card in Finland

Centria University of Applied Sciences offers a scholarship programme for students who are subject to paying tuition fee.

If you have started your studies already earlier (e.g. in 2016), you may complete your studies without having to pay tuition fees.

Centria University of Applied Sciences has set the tuition fees and scholarships as follows:

The student has compeleted 40 ECTS in Centria UAS during the previous academic year.


Applicable tuition fee must be paid in full according to instructions.

*The student gets an early bird discount of 1500 € of the first year's tuition fee if the study place is accepted and the tuition fee paid within two weeks after the notification. The discount will be reduced from the first year's payment. Detailed instructions on how to pay the tuition fee will be sent along with an acceptance letter. 


REFUND POLICY

In case you do not get a residence permit and for this reason you cannot start your studies in the beginning of the fall semester, the tuition fee can be refunded upon application. To get the tuition fee back, you need to send us the negative decision made by the Immigration Office as well as a copy of the original payment receipt. You also have to be able to prove that you have applied for the residence permit well in time to be able to start your studies at the end of August.

Please also note that your if you withdraw your residence permit application yourself, it is not considered a negative decision.

Tuition fees will not be refunded in any case after the study year in question has ended.
